Vanilla Plus Shader v3.3 – Some Quality of Life

Hi folks,

It’s also time for some updates on this pack, even if they’re much more limited to minor changes and additions but they should be worth it nonetheless.

As with the other recent updates of my shaderpacks there are various shared improvements such as improved wind effect handling and block mapping additions for 1.21. I’ve also added a few settings to control the colour of block lighting as well as the minimum ambient light while I was at it, which should come in handy for some of you.

Overall there aren’t many spectacular changes but the smaller improvement should provide some quality of life improvements nonetheless and I hope that you’ll enjoy these :)

Changelog:

  • Added block mappings for Minecraft 1.21
    • Including pale garden foliage
  • Improved wind effects handling
    • Custom foliage models should behave correctly now
    • Removed azalea plants from wind effects
  • Improved rendering of translucent particles such as campfire smoke
  • Improved rendering of beacon beams
    • Better emission brightness
    • Removed broken-looking outer layer
  • Water in boats might be fixed in some cases now
    • Behaves inconsistently, not sure why
  • Added settings to control blocklight colour and brightness

Added setting to control minimum ambient light brightness
