Hey folks,
It’s been a while since the last Kappa Shader update, and while I still don’t see anything I’d change about the overall look and visuals I figured that it’d be about time to do some maintenance while also taking care of some smaller improvements.
One of the more prominent additions however would be the ACES gamut compression that I have added quite some time ago after the 5.2 release. In laymans terms this softens the more strongly saturated and at times oversaturated colours, such as redstone blocks which are arguably the worst offender in some cases. Those colours will no longer be totally oversaturated to the point that they seem to be clipping, but will rather display with a nice saturation rolloff as they get brighter.
Aside from that there are a lot of smaller improvements such as updated block mappings for 1.21, better wind effects with custom foliage models, better beacon beam rendering and so on.
I’ll attach a full changelog below as usual and I hope that you like this update as always :)
